The rear differential breather kit is custom made to fit select Freightliner models built in 1981 to 2014 with Rockwell or Meritor differentials. It is a direct aftermarket replacement for OEM # KIT2902. The axle vent is designed to allow pressure inside the differential to equalize with the atmospheric pressure. It has a black color and is constructed of steel, rubber and plastic. Replacement is needed when tubes become clogged or deteriorate. It is manufactured to strict engineering quality standards.
