K&N General Warranty

Warranty Policy for K&N® Products

K&N® offers a limited warranty on its products to ensure their performance and quality meet or exceed your expectations. Below are the warranty details for various K&N® product categories: Oil Filters: K&N® premium oil filters are covered by a 1-Year Limited Warranty. This warranty protects against defects in materials and craftsmanship, ensuring your oil filter performs as expected. K&N® is not responsible for any damage caused by improper installation or failure to follow vehicle manufacturer service recommendations.

Air Filters (Cabin Air Filters): K&N® Heavy Duty Cabin Air Filters come with a 10-Year / 1 Million Mile Limited Warranty. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It ensures the air filter performs as intended to improve air quality and reduce contaminants in the cabin. Routine cleaning of the filters is required to maintain warranty coverage.

Air Filters and Intake Systems (O/E Replacement & Air Intake Systems): K&N® O/E Replacement Air Filters and Air Intake Systems purchased from authorized dealers are covered by a 3-Year / 300,000 Mile Warranty when used primarily on paved roads and in vehicles for which they were designed. Warranty coverage is valid for defects in material or workmanship. This warranty excludes products used for racing, off-road use, custom applications, illegal activities, or marine/industrial applications.

General Warranty Exclusions: The warranty does not cover K&N® products used in racing or competition, off-road use, motorcycles/ATVs, custom applications, or illegal highway, marine, or industrial applications. Additionally, damage resulting from improper cleaning, modification, or abuse is not covered. The use of inappropriate cleaning chemicals or treatments will void the warranty.

Cleaning and Maintenance: For optimal performance, K&N® air filters should be cleaned every 50,000 miles under normal highway conditions, more frequently in dusty environments. Only K&N® Heavy Duty Air Filter Cleaner should be used for cleaning; the use of compressed air or chemicals not designed for K&N® filters will void the warranty.

If a K&N® product fails to perform as expected, the company will replace it within the warranty period. For warranty claims, please contact the authorized dealer from whom the product was purchased.
