Email Marketing Manager
We’re looking for our next Chromozonian to join the growing, diverse, and highly-skilled Marketing Department! Our Email Marketing Manager will own the Raney’s and associated brands ESP (full funnel), championing one of the most critical mediums that connect us with our customers. This role will partner closely with our Creative, eComm, and cross-functional teams to amplify content, build leads, engage our audience, drive sales, and increase LTV across web and brick-and-mortar retail. By leveraging expertise in both eCommerce and D2C strategies, this role will drive awareness, conversions, and retention. We have a full-time design team, so we’re looking for folks with a skillset heavier on the technical side (triggers, flows, deep segmentation, A/B testing) ideally with content writing experience.
The Email Marketing Manager will reside on our Performance Marketing team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Performance Marketing. This position is fully remote.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in eCommerce and/or D2C (Direct-to-consumer) email marketing throughout the sales funnel.
- Expertise in Klaviyo or similar Email Service Providers.
- Data-driven and well-versed in analytics, with extensive experience in A/B testing and leveraging insights to drive optimization.
- Copywriting, content writing, or equivalent experience (this role will eventually be responsible for writing the emails)
- Proactive deployment calendar ideation, creation, and execution-Dedication to expanding reporting capabilities to enable more sophisticated analysis and optimizations.
- Experience managing/developing/implementing email campaigns.
- Experience building email calendars for multiple segments.
- Prior experience writing and editing email content for both broad and persona-based audiences.
- Able to work closely with cross-functional roles to create segments, campaign flows, and templates.
- Highly motivated and self-starting.
- Able to see a project from start to finish, goal/KPI oriented.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to spot efficiencies and implement solutions for creative templates and localization.
Additional Requirements:
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience at an online retailer preferred and/or D2C brand
- Competitive knowledge of email best practices
- Experience making basic edits in Adobe Photoshop and/or Figma.

- A/B tested everything from subject lines and media type to CTAs and content lengths
- Partners with the Retail team to support in-store events and promotions.
- Found the perfect balance and cadence of content, brand, and product marketing to keep the audience engaged and subscribed.
- Worked across teams to implement best practice lead capturing on-site and across paid media
- Created reports to track the performance of campaigns and automated flows.

This role will partner closely with our Performance Marketing, Brand, Creative, Product and IT teams to lead the development and direction of Raney’s online business, ensuring traffic, conversion, AOV, new customer acquisition and retention targets are met or exceeded to enable the revenue forecast.
As a swiss army knife of all things eCommerce, eTail and D2C strategies, this role will own the customer experience: UX/UI, product listings, key assortments by channel, accessory upsells strategies, conversion rate optimization programs, SEO, payment, warranty and review vendors, the promotional calendar. The Senior Manager, eCommerce and Merchandising will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer

5+ years leading an ecommerce team and strategy with a record of driving sales growth.

Deliver your quarterly business. You are on top of KPIs, continuously monitor & optimize performance, understand how the categories are trending and articulate what interventions are needed.

Partner with Product and Brand teams to deliver on a Product Merchandising strategy that drives revenue profitably, across the product categories, while also growing the overall assortment.

Lead an organic search improvement strategy to increase non-brand rankings, traffic and revenue for key categories.

An understanding of Internet commerce and usage is a must for this position. Training will be provided for our inventory management system and our customer relationship management software.
